Convention Industry Council Names Project Attrition Leader - David S. OmniTourism adds Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau [December 12, 2002] –  The Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau has contracted with OmniTourism to create and manage package programs for Pasadena.  This brings to over 20 convention & visitor bureau in the US and 12 tourist offices in UK and Europe that offer online hotel and/or package booking that highlights family activities, arts and culture, history, out door activities, special events and festivals, etc.  OmniTourism expects this number to grow exponentially over the next two years and is in the process of adding new fulfillment and call center facilities.

Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau selects OmniTourism [October 9, 2002] –  OmniTourism, provider of  eCommerce Technology and Marketing to Destination Management Organizations throughout the world was selected by the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau to create and manage it's packaging program.  Initially, all efforts will be on setting up packages which can be booked online for the NCAA World Cup, taking place in Austin in December.

TravelMole becomes part of OmniTourism Group [May 2, 2002] –  TravelMole, the leading UK tourism community, joins the OmniTourism group as a result of an acquisition of 75% of its shares from Sift Co., UK's leading internet community management company.  OmniTourism plans to grow TravelMole to North America, South Pacific and South East Asia, and Latin America.  Graham McKenzie has been tapped as its Managing Director.  Richard Hammond remains Editor.  

Destination Marketing to 2 million US Hotelevision viewer [February 20, 2002] –  OmniTourism has agreed with Hotelevision to promote OmniTourism destinations to the 2 million unique upscale hotel guests it reaches each month at participating Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, Hyatt and similar hotels throughout the US.  This program will help increase transactions for tourism supplier using OmniTourism eCommerce systems and introduce Hotelevision to a large base of potential advertisers.  The value of the destination advertising covered by this agreement is expected to be US$ 1 million for 2002.

Omni Destination CEO Roundtable in Washington DC [February 2, 2002] –  OmniTourism and the Aristotle Institute jointly sponsored the first of a series of 10 in the US for this year.  Twelve CEO from major Convention & Visitor Bureaus (Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Anaheim, etc.) accepted the private invitation to attend the Roundtable, where they will receive briefing from top industry leaders (Roy Evans, David Radcliffe, Doug Ducate  etc.) on the latest developments in destination eBusiness and to discuss their participation.  A select 4 destinations will be invited to host Omni-Aristotle full day regional Summits, attended by up to 500 tourism industry leaders and suppliers, corporate meeting planners, etc.  

OmniTerra Receives $3 million EU Grant [February 11, 2002] –  OmniTerra SRL, a joint venture between OmniTourism and EuroInvest received confirmation of a US$ 3 million Euro grant from the EU to promote tourism exports, with special focus on locally produced foods, wines, clothing, arts & crafts, etc.  OmniTourism will provide the technology and support.  Dr. Roy Lambranzi, who has served as director of Best Western Hotels in Europe, has been selected to serve as CEO.

Galileo/Cendant Distribution to 200,000 Travel Agents [December 14, 2001] –  OmniTourism and the Cendant (NYSE: CD) owned Galileo travel agency reservation system company has agreed to enter into a non-exclusive distribution partnership of OmniTourism’s destination content to Galileo’s 200,000 travel agency terminal users around the world.  OmniTourism have ongoing discussions with the Sabre and Amadeus travel agent Global Distribution System companies for similar distribution.

5 billion lira Italy Project Grant [November 29, 2001] –  Following today’s meeting in Rome, the director of the SviluppoItalia confirmed in writing, their interest to provide a $2.5 million grant for a tourism development project in 2002.  This involves the integration of OmniTourism’s Destination Management System with an Italian Hotel Property Management System and channel distribution to in-hotel TVs.   SviluppoItalia  is the Italian National Development Agency for the Mezzogiorno region and other less developed regions in Italy.  It is a division of Italy’s Ministry of Treasury.

Europe's most established Destination Management System provider joins OmniTourism Group [November 15, 2001] –  Integra Software Systems Ltd. has become part of the OmniTourism Group as a result of its acquisition from Bond International, a public company on the London Stock Exchange.  Eighteen year old Integra has over 100 tourist offices throughout UK, Europe and Africa licensed to use its Destination Management System.  OmniTourism plans to grow this installation base globally, especially in emerging markets, by offering a hosted ASP option in partnership with IBM. WorldRes Marketing Parnetship  [October 11, 2001] – A cross marketing partnership agreement was entered into with WorldRes, one of the most successful providers of transaction fee based hotel online reservation services, serving 70,000 hotels globally.  OmniTourism will provide WorldRes tourism related content, including small and medium hotels.  WorldRes will promote OmniTourism to tourism organizations.

World Tourism Foundation Endorsement [October 11, 2001] – OmniTourism and WTF signed an agreement whereby WTF endorses and will use OmniTourism’s Destination Enterprise System for its global tourism organization members.  Additionally, their management and directors will be available as resource to OmniTourism.

World Travel & Tourism Council  [August 15, 2001] – Mr. Jean-Claude Baumgarten, President of WTTC, announced it’s decision to endorse OmniTourism for their Latin America and India Regional Programs designed to promoting Travel and Tourism and to raise the profile of Travel and Tourism throughout each region.  A pilot will begin in India, with funding from government and/or international agencies.  The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) is the global business leaders' forum for Travel & Tourism. Its Members are 115 Chief Executives from all sectors of industry, including accommodation, catering, entertainment, recreation, transportation and other travel-related services.

Automobile Association AA [August 10, 2001] Have signed a heads of agreement to distribute their content and adding the book button onto all AA registered accommodation, events and attractions.  Involves providing the Integra technology to all product providers and generating distribution agreements with travel portals. It will be a revenue sharing model, once held electronically to be distributed using XML interface to various portals of which Expedia have shown an interest.  It is anticipated that AA will contribute some capital to the new venture, while OmniTourism contributes the technology and management.

ntl and Integra Plan Interactive TV  [August 1, 2001] ntl are one of the fastest growing media providers through cable in the United Kingdom and Integra Systems, an OmniTourism Group company, are planning to the provide tourism information and content through cable channels using interactive TV (i-TV).

Commonwealth Games - 2002  [July 19, 2001] Next year the Commonwealth games will be held in the city of Manchester. It is expected that an extra three to four million visors will visit the northwest region of the United Kingdom. OmniTourism’s Integra Systems' divison, is providing Manchester, Southport (Home of the Open Golf Championship 2001) and Blackpool with information and booking technology tools for the event.
